Over week, Ministry of Defense received more than 300 applications for returning from AWOL through "Army+"

During the week, more than 300 servicemen who went AWOL filed applications to return to the army through the Army+ application.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization Kateryna Chernohorenko during a national telethon, Censor.NET reports.
"Over the past week, for example, we have received more than 300 reports on returns from AWOL. And I think that now the dynamics will accelerate, because according to the law, there is a limited period for the absence of criminal liability for such returns," she said.
Chernogorenko explained that a report can be rejected if a serviceman fails to report to the military law enforcement service within 24 hours of its submission or provides false or inaccurate information in the document.
After the rejection, the report can be submitted again, correcting all the mistakes, as the state and the Armed Forces are ready to accept such servicemen back, the Defense Ministry added.
