Ukraine can forget about NATO – Trump
On Wednesday, February 26, US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine can forget about NATO membership.
The American leader said this during a meeting of US administration ministers, Censor.NET reports.
The head of the White House said that it was allegedly because of Ukraine's desire to join NATO that the full-scale invasion of Russia began.
"NATO will have to be forgotten (by Ukraine - ed.) - I think that's the reason why it all started," Trump said.
He also added that without American weapons, the war would have ended "very quickly."
"They (Ukrainians - ed.) are good fighters, but without American equipment - we have the best equipment in the world - it would have been over very quickly," the American leader said.
