Capture of Kotlyne thwarted Russia’s plans to capture Pokrovsk - OSGT "Khortytsia"

Establishing control over Kotlyne gave the Armed Forces of Ukraine the opportunity to disrupt the enemy's offensive plans in the Pokrovsk direction and destroy an abnormally large number of Russian troops.
This was stated by the spokesman of the OSGT "Khortytsia" Viktor Trehubov, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.
"This is very important, because it is in the Pokrovsk direction, where the Russians are making the most efforts, where the largest number of their troops are concentrated, where the largest number of clashes are taking place, which is the main thing in their plan now, and I mean the plan to take the southern part of the Donetsk region, which should include the capture and capture of Pokrovsk, that is where they are having the biggest failures.
It is there that the Ukrainian troops managed to switch to an effective type of active defense, in the process of which we not only hold positions, but also destroy an abnormally large number of the enemy and at the same time launch counterattacks that are sensitive to the enemy, disrupting his plans," the spokesman noted.
According to him, the Russian troops tried to establish fire control over the Pokrovsk-Dnipro highway, but after the Ukrainian counterattack on Kotlyne, this plan failed.
"The Russians planned to enter the highway, establish fire control over it first, and then physical control. But just after the counterattack on Kotlyne, we can say that this plan is not working out for them right now. There are several factors that the Russians themselves complain about. I can name three: the dominance of Ukrainian drones, the second is the lack of personnel, which is fun to hear from the mouths of Russian military intelligence officers, and the third is that the KABs have become less effective, since it has become more difficult for them to be guided due to Ukrainian electronic warfare," explained Trehubov.
He also noted that due to the lack of equipment, the occupiers are increasingly using civilian cars. At the same time, the spring thaw will make it even more difficult for them to move on this section of the front.
Let us recall that on Wednesday, February 27, Sicheslav paratroopers took control of Kotlyne in the Pokrovsk direction.
