France proposes to create weapons stocks in Europe that can be transferred to Ukraine if necessary

To deter Moscow from a new attack, it is necessary to create weapons stocks on common European territory that can be transferred to Ukraine if necessary
As Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform, this was stated by the Minister of the Armed Forces of France, Sebastian Lecornu, on the air of Franceinfo.
"Security guarantees include several potential levels. The issue of accumulating weapons in Europe is a way of deterrence for Ukraine if the war resumes," he explained, adding that France is going to put this idea on the table for negotiations with other European countries.
According to him, Russia will remain a threat to Europe, so the creation of such stocks of weapons and ammunition will allow European states to also support the activities of their defense industries after the cessation of hostilities in Ukraine.
Regarding the debate on the possible deployment of European troops in Ukraine to guarantee a future ceasefire, Lecornu admitted that there is a "framework for reflection, which is to have peacekeeping forces after the guns fall silent."
At the same time, he calls the Ukrainian army the best guarantee of security for Ukraine.
"What is also at stake in the discussions at the moment is ensuring that the Ukrainian army continues to be able to defend itself not only at this moment but even when the guns fall silent," the minister explained.
Recall that last year the Czech Republic increased its exports of military equipment to Ukraine by at least a third.
