Russia has launched large-scale disinformation campaign to disrupt mobilization in Ukraine – Budanov
The head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said that the Russians have launched a massive disinformation program against our country in order to disrupt the mobilization.
According to Censor.NET, he said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
He emphasized that this Russian program is seriously working and influencing the minds of Ukrainians.
"You see, in fact, one or two sharp cases occur (conflicts with the TCR - ed.) about once a week. But when you look at the Internet, it seems that at least a hundred of them happen every day," Budanov said.
He also called it an example of a professional PSYOP (information and psychological operation - ed.), adding that the enemy is adapting old Soviet-school methods to modern conditions.
Also, according to him, Russia has already begun to undermine the political situation in Ukraine, which began in the fall of 2023.
"This is the middle of 2023, which is aimed at preparing for, as they say, spreading distrust in the government... A tired society comes to life, wakes up only when there are victories, when there are no victories, no matter what you do, nothing will help. Therefore, we need victories - diplomatic, political, social, military, but victories. No one in the world likes or respects people who lose, no matter what anyone says," the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine summarized.
