Starmer to host Zelenskyy and other leaders in London: security guarantees to be discussed - Bloomberg

On March 2, 2025, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will host President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and more than 10 other European leaders in London. They will discuss security guarantees that Europe can offer Kyiv in the event of a ceasefire with Russia.
This is reported by Bloomberg, Censor.NET informs.
Thus, Starmer and Macron will be able to inform their European colleagues about their visits to the United States to meet with Donald Trump, during which they tried to convince him to promise US military support if Russia violates a potential peace agreement in the future.
Starmer's office said that he also invited the leaders of Germany, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Romania to London.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and the Presidents of the European Commission and European Council, Ursula von der Leyen and Antonio Costa, are also expected to attend.
It is known that Starmer will hold separate bilateral meetings with Zelenskyy and Italian Prime Minister George Meloni.
Europe wants Trump to offer American aerial reconnaissance, surveillance, and air cover as a last resort to assist European peacekeeping forces if they are attacked by Russian troops after any peace agreement is concluded.
Earlier, it was reported that Trump refused to guarantee assistance to British peacekeepers in Ukraine.
