At a meeting on March 6, the EU member states plan to support a common position on the participation of Ukraine and Europe in potential peace talks with Russia.
This is reported by Suspilne TV channel with reference to a draft communiqué, Censor.NET reports.
The main provisions of the document:
- Negotiations on Ukraine cannot be held without Ukraine.
- European security cannot be discussed without the participation of Europe.
- A truce is possible only within the framework of a comprehensive peace agreement.
- The agreement must contain reliable security guarantees for Ukraine.
As noted, the European Union emphasizes that Ukraine should be in the strongest position during the negotiations, so it will continue to provide political, financial, economic, humanitarian, military and diplomatic assistance together with its partners.
