Zelenskyy should restore relations with Trump - Rutte

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte considers the conversation between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House on February 28 "unsuccessful." He believes that the parties should improve their relations.

"I have already spoken to President Zelenskyy twice. I told him we have to stick together, the United States, Ukraine and Europe, to bring Ukraine to a lasting peace," he told the BBC.
"I told him clearly that we really have to respect what President Trump has already done for Ukraine...I am absolutely convinced that the United States wants to bring Ukraine to a lasting peace. And it is important that President Zelenskyy finds a way to restore his relationship with the American president and with the senior team of the administration," Rutte added.
The dispute between Trump and Zelensky
On Friday, February 28, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met at the White House.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy left the White House early after meeting with Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
No agreement on minerals between Ukraine and the United States was signed in Washington.
