Stubb on Trump-Zelenskyy dispute: Diplomatic failure. Only Putin was winner

President of Finland reacts to the Trump-Zelenskyy dispute

Finnish President Alexander Stubb is shocked by the dispute between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the White House.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to Yle.

"It was a diplomatic failure, in which there was actually only one winner, and he was not even there. It was Vladimir Putin," he stressed.

According to the Finnish leader, the events in the White House are "sad and historic".

"I have been involved in international politics and diplomacy all my adult life and have never seen anything like this in public. You can observe various discussions behind closed doors, but events like what happened on Friday in front of the cameras are extremely rare," the president explained.

Finland's plan

Stubb said that Finland has developed a preliminary plan to achieve peace. The first stage of the three-stage plan envisages actions to be taken before a ceasefire is concluded.

"Strengthening Ukraine militarily, politically and economically, as well as putting maximum pressure on Russia," he said.

According to him, Ukraine should play a leading role in security issues, but at the same time act with the support of Europe and the United States.

"These talks will probably continue until Easter," Stubb suggests.

He also emphasizes that Europe must take responsibility for the success of this process.
