80 combat engagements took place at frontline, 16 Russian attacks repelled in Kursk region, eleven are still ongoing – General Staff
Russian invaders continue to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders. A total of 80 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day. In particular, in the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 Russian attacks.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the situation at the front as of 4:00 pm on March 6, Censor.NET reports.
Russian shelling of Ukraine
Border settlements continue to suffer from cynical shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation, in particular Popivka, Kucherivka, Yasna Polyana and Ponomarenky in Sumy region. In addition, the village of Hremiach in the Chernihiv region was attacked with unguided aerial missiles.
Situation in Kharkiv region
Today, Ukrainian troops repelled two attacks near Vovchansk in the Kharkiv direction.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made two assault attacks near Zahryzove and was repelled.
Hostilities in the East
In the Lyman direction, the invading army attacked eight times near Nevske and in the direction of Hryhorivka. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled five attempts by the occupiers to advance in the area of Chasiv Yar, and three more combat engagements have already ended. The enemy launched an air strike on Kramatorsk.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked 18 times near Dyliivka, Krymske, Ozarianivka and Toretsk. Four combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have made 12 attempts to push our defenders from their positions near the settlements of Promin, Nadiivka and Andriivka. Ukrainian defense forces are holding back the enemy's offensive and repelled 11 attacks, one combat engagement is still ongoing. Sukhyi Yar was hit by air strikes with guided bombs.
The situation in the South
Today, in the Novopavlivka direction, our troops repelled four enemy attacks near Kostiantynopil.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy keeps trying to improve its position. Today, the Defense Forces repelled three attempts to advance in the areas of Pryvilne and Novosilka. Moreover, enemy aircraft attacked Huliaipole, Temyrivka, Zaliznychne and Zelene Pole with guided aerial bombs. In addition, they attacked Novopil with unguided missiles.
At the moment, our troops are still repelling four enemy attacks in the Orikhiv direction, and in total, the occupier has actively attacked the positions of Ukrainian units seven times today in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Nesterianka and Piatykhatky. Stepove, Piatikhatky and Plavni were subjected to enemy air strikes.
According to the General Staff, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions on the Siversk and Prydniprovske directions.
Kursk direction
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 Russian attacks, eleven combat engagements are still ongoing. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has carried out 18 air strikes, dropped a total of 23 guided aerial bombs and 261 artillery shellings on the positions of our troops and settlements.
The situation did not change significantly in other frontline areas.
