Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Polish National Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz held a meeting in Warsaw.

This was reported by Umerov, Censor.NET reports.

"I started a several-day working trip with a meeting in Warsaw. I met with my Polish counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of Poland, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh. Our closest neighbors were among the first to provide military support to Ukraine since the beginning of the large-scale invasion. I thank the people and government of Poland and Mr. Kosiniak-Kamysz for their comprehensive assistance. We especially appreciate the recently announced new large package of military assistance," he said.

According to him, the parties discussed the key needs of the Ukrainian military.

"Poland will continue to supply weapons and ammunition for our defense through its territory," Umerov said.

The ministers also agreed to expand cooperation within the framework of the Czech initiative.

Special attention was paid to cooperation in the defense industry, including the creation of joint ventures in Ukraine or Poland.

"Another important area is the training of our military. Poland has already trained more than 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers and is ready to expand this program together with the Scandinavian and Baltic countries," the Ukrainian minister said.

Umerov also announced meetings with other European allies and friends of Ukraine.

"The main focus is on urgent supplies and long-term security projects. Together we are strengthening the security of Europe. The defense of the continent is our shared responsibility," he summarized.
