Putin is weak, war has become disaster for him, so he wants it to end - Telegraph

Russia has suddenly backed Donald Trump's desire to end the war in Ukraine because for dictator Putin, it has become a "catastrophic disaster"
As reported by Censor.NET, this is stated in the material of The Telegraph.
"The Kremlin's propaganda machine is gloating, mocking the obvious concern of Europeans over the Trump administration's attitude towards Washington's former allies. But this is only an attempt to divert attention from the real pressure that Russia is feeling due to its destructive military intervention in Ukraine," writes The Telegraph's defense and international affairs editor Con Coughlin.
Russian propagandists have begun to actively claim that Trump is joining the Russian vision of the situation. However, despite all such statements, the Kremlin hopes that Trump's return to the White House will lead to an end to the war.
"Don't fool yourself, Putin is weak and desperately wants peace," the author notes.
The war is having a devastating effect on the Russian economy, which is becoming increasingly clear. With interest rates at 21% and the National Welfare Fund running low, the Kremlin has less and less money to continue the war. That is why Putin has supported Trump’s peace initiatives.
Russia’s unexpected offer to mediate in talks between Iran and the US over Tehran’s nuclear program is a sign that the Kremlin is looking for a way out of the war in Ukraine.
Putin is also afraid of the introduction of European peacekeepers into Ukraine, as this would be a real disaster for him. His goal is to prevent the West from further advancing closer to Russia. Therefore, the deployment of European troops in Ukraine is a threat to Putin's power.
The author notes that the Trump administration is not entering into peace negotiations from a position of strength but must understand that Putin will do so from a position of complete weakness.
