Sybiha discussed with Rubio upcoming talks between Ukraine and United States in Saudi Arabia
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha had a telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The diplomats discussed the upcoming meeting of the delegations of Ukraine and the United States in Saudi Arabia.
This was reported by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on the social network X, Censor.NET reports.
"I had a constructive conversation with US Secretary of State Mark Rubio. We discussed the upcoming meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations in Saudi Arabia. Ukraine wants the war to end, and U.S. leadership is essential to achieving a lasting peace," emphasized Sybiha.
The ministers also discussed ways to develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the teams of Ukraine and the United States had resumed work and a "meaningful meeting" could take place next week.
According to Fox News, the delegations of Ukraine and the United States will meet in the Saudi capital Riyadh next Tuesday, March 11.
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry believes that the meeting between the US and Ukraine in Riyadh is an opportunity to sign an agreement on minerals.
