More than 5,500 women serve at front line - Ministry of Defense

More than 5,500 female servicewomen are currently serving on the front line.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
"More than 5,500 servicewomen are currently serving directly on the front line. In total, as of January 1, 2025, more than 70,000 women serve in the Armed Forces, which is 20% more than in 2022," the Ministry of Defense said. Women have become an integral part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They serve in various military specialties: medics, signalmen, snipers, etc.
According to the Ministry of Defense, women in the Armed Forces have equal rights with men to hold positions, career advancement and military ranks. At the same time, the legislation provides for additional social guarantees, including separate office space for accommodation during the deployment of camps, restrictions on physical activity, the possibility of voluntary dismissal in case of pregnancy, regardless of martial law, etc.
