US may stop participating in planning NATO exercises in Europe - media

The United States intends to stop participating in the planning of future military exercises in Europe, as it has informed its NATO allies.
According to Censor.NET, citing Interfax-Ukraine, sources told the Swedish edition of Expressen.
As noted, the freezing of American planning does not yet apply to the NATO exercises already planned for 2025, in which the United States is expected to play a key role.
One source noted that this refers to NATO exercises that are currently on the drawing board, i.e., at a later stage of implementation.
The US side reportedly wants to reduce military spending in Europe. The publication notes that Trump has announced his intention to prioritize the Indo-Pacific region, with a special focus on China.
