In the city of Novokuybyshevsk, Samara region, distinctive sounds and lights were heard at night.
Local residents began to post videos of the arrival, confirming information about several explosions in the area of the refinery.

The Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery is the most powerful refinery among the plants of Rosneft's Samara group.
The refinery's design refining capacity is over 8.8 million tonnes of oil per year.
"Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery" is one of the main producers of high-grade RT jet fuel. It is used for turbojet subsonic and some supersonic aircraft (Su-27, Tu-22M3, etc.)
About 20 types of the company's products are shipped to many regions of Russia and neighbouring countries.
The refinery was previously attacked twice in March 2024.
