Over 60 people remain missing in Borodianka

Destruction of Borodianka by Russians

After the liberation of Borodianka in Kyiv region (in spring 2022), there were 73 civilians who went missing due to the hostilities and occupation. As of 2025, more than 60 people still have the status of missing - law enforcement has not yet been able to identify them as either alive or dead.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by "Slidstvo.Info", citing data from the Prosecutor General's Office.

The agency notes that as of 11 February 2025, more than 60 civilians were reported missing during the occupation of Borodianka, and immediately after the village was liberated, this figure was higher.

"After the liberation of Borodianka, 73 people were reported missing (35 of them have been found or identified among the dead as of today). Please note that this data is not final, the investigation is ongoing," the Prosecutor General's Office said.

Law enforcement officials add that at least 171 civilians died during the hostilities and occupation of the village.

As a reminder, on 2 April 2022, the Ukrainian military liberated Kyiv region from Russian invaders. Prior to that, the village of Borodianka had been under enemy occupation for over a month. The Russians had almost completely destroyed the village.
