There is no threat of encirclement of Ukrainian Armed Forces in Kursk region. Decision made to strengthen Defense Forces, - Syrskyi

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi is working in the operational zone of the Kursk military grouping.
He announced this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
According to Syrskyi, the situation on the border of the Sumy region with the Kursk region of the Russian Federation is under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
"A number of settlements on the border line, the names of which appear in the Russian propagandists' releases, no longer exist - they have been destroyed by the aggressor's fire.
Despite the involvement of a significant number of Russian troops in the offensive, reinforced by North Korean infantry, the enemy suffers significant losses in manpower and equipment. In the area of Plekhove alone, the enemy lost an infantry battalion in four days of fighting.
Separate subversive reconnaissance groups and small infantry groups of the enemy trying to infiltrate the territory of Ukraine are destroyed by the firepower of our troops thanks to the defense system created in advance," the statement said.
Syrskyi noted that he had made a decision on the spot to strengthen the Ukrainian grouping with the necessary forces and means, including electronic warfare and unmanned aerial vehicles.
"There is currently no threat of encirclement of our units in the Kursk region. The units are taking timely measures to maneuver to favorable defense lines," the Commander-in-Chief summarized.
