Waltz announces meeting with Russian side "in coming days"

US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz announced a meeting with the Russian side to discuss further steps after talks with the Ukrainian delegation in Jeddah.
He said this following a meeting between representatives of Ukraine and the United States in Saudi Arabia on March 11, Censor.NET reports.
"We are going to meet with the Russian side to discuss further steps. I will talk to my Russian counterpart in the coming days. In the next few days, Secretary Rubio will meet with the foreign ministers of the Group of Seven countries. On Thursday, the NATO Secretary General will arrive at the White House. And we will develop the process further," Volz said.
He noted that due to the meeting with Ukraine in Jeddah and "this positive step forward," President Trump "decided to cancel the pause in providing security assistance to Ukraine."
"This decision is effective immediately," he added.
The National Security Advisor noted that the meeting discussed the details of how this war will end forever and what guarantees Ukraine will have to ensure long-term security.
Ukraine and the United States negotiate in Saudi Arabia
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the teams of Ukraine and the United States had resumed work and a "substantive meeting" could take place next week.
According to Fox News, the delegations of Ukraine and the United States will meet in the Saudi capital Riyadh next Tuesday, March 11.
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry believes that the meeting between the US and Ukraine in Riyadh is an opportunity to sign an agreement on minerals.
The Ukrainian and US teams issued a joint statement following the meeting in Saudi Arabia: The US resumes military assistance, and the possibility of a 30-day ceasefire will be discussed with Russia.
