Turkey can play an important role in ending war in Ukraine - Sybiha

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha believes that Turkey can play an important role in achieving peace in Ukraine.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Ukrinform.
"Turkey's role (in the issue of ending Russia's war against Ukraine. - Ed.) is extremely important, given both the potential of this country and the role it plays in the region, especially in the Black Sea region... Turkey has one of the largest armies on the European continent. And, of course, in the context of future agreements on achieving a just and comprehensive peace in Ukraine, this role will definitely be there," he said.
The minister recalled that it was at Erdogan's initiative that a "grain corridor" was created in the Black Sea in 2022.
"Turkey also actively participated in the processes of releasing prisoners of war, for which we are grateful to it," the Ukrainian Foreign Minister added.
As a reminder, the Turkish Ministry of Defense stated that Turkish peacekeepers could be sent to Ukraine if necessary.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Turkey supports the ceasefire in Ukraine.
