Umierov and Cernochova discuss expansion of Czech Initiative

On March 15, Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umierov met with his Czech counterpart, Jana Cernochova. The parties discussed Ukraine's priority needs on the battlefield.
Umerov posted this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"Today in Prague I had the honor to meet with a great friend of Ukraine - Czech Defense Minister Jana Cernochova. I expressed my gratitude for military assistance from the first days of the full-scale war. Ms. Chernokhova confirmed that support for Ukraine will remain unchanged," he wrote.
The main topic of the meeting
Umerov noted that the main focus of the talks was the meeting between Umierov and Cernochova, who has already provided our army with hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition. They discussed ways to increase efficiency and expand funding for the initiative.
Training and equipping units
Our partners will also continue to help train and equip our units to NATO standards.
"The Czech Republic was one of the first to come to Ukraine's aid after February 24, 2022. We will always remember this support!" Umerov emphasized.
As a reminder, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that 80% of the ammunition promised under the Czech Republic's initiative has already been delivered to Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine has already received the promised one million rounds of ammunition from the European Union.
By the end of 2024, the Czech Republic promised to supply Ukraine with 500,000 artillery shells as part of the Czech initiative.
