According to the information provided by law enforcement agencies, the person involved in the murder of civil society activist Demian Hanul has been identified. He was a serviceman of one of the military units of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who at the time of the crime was in the status of a deserter.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the Land Forces Command.
"Such criminal manifestations are unacceptable and should not take place in the ranks of the defenders of Ukraine.
The Command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will provide full assistance to a comprehensive and impartial investigation of this high-profile case. In order to prevent similar incidents in the future, measures are being taken to strengthen control over the observance of military discipline," the statement said.
