We support Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty - Turkey on 11th anniversary of Russia’s occupation of Crimea
Turkey does not recognize the actual situation in Crimea and supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
According to Censor.NET, citing RBC-Ukraine, this was stated by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"On the anniversary of the annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea by the Russian Federation eleven years ago (March 16) through an illegitimate referendum, we reiterate that we do not recognize the actual situation in Crimea, which is a violation of international law, and that we support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine," the statement said.
It is emphasized that Turkey continues to monitor the events in Crimea, especially the situation of the Crimean Tatars, and keep them on the agenda of the international community.
