Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grushko says peace agreement may include "unarmed observers" in Ukraine

Russians want the peace agreement in Ukraine to be guaranteed by "unarmed observers".
This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrainska Pravda.
Grushko said that "a peace agreement may provide for the presence of unarmed observers in Ukraine, a civilian mission to monitor the implementation of certain aspects of the agreement, or guarantee mechanisms."
"If we are talking about a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, then of course, it will have an external contour. We will demand that part of this agreement should be ironclad security guarantees," Grushko said.
He believes that only through their formation will it be possible to achieve lasting peace in Ukraine and strengthen regional security in general. In addition, the Russian official added, part of the guarantees should include Ukraine's neutral status and NATO's refusal to accept it as a member.
