If Russia continues to attack our energy infrastructure, Ukraine will not stay silent and will respond – Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on Russia's agreement to halt strikes on Ukraine's energy facilities. In the event of a renewed Russian attack, Ukraine will launch retaliatory strikes.
He said this during a conversation with journalists, Censor.NET reports.
"It cannot be that Russia will attack our energy sector, and we will stay silent - we will respond. But the two sides, Ukraine and Russia, may not attack the energy sector. We will support this, it was our initiative," Zelenskyy emphasized.
He also noted that the United States should mediate this agreement and guarantee the implementation of such an agreement.
In addition, the head of state said that Ukraine would support any steps aimed at reducing mutual shelling.
"If President Trump can push for specifics and secure a halt to strikes on the energy sector and the sea, and if this is the first step while no other steps are in place yet, then let him provide the details on how we will implement it. I am confident that both the American and Ukrainian sides will support any measures that contribute to a reduction in attacks," Zelenskyy added.
