Zelenskyy thanked Trump at least six times during conversation, Waltz’s and Rubio statement

Zelenskyy and Trump’s conversation on 19 March: President thanked 6 times

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz issued a statement following a telephone conversation between Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday, 19 March. The Ukrainian president thanked his American counterpart at least six times.

According to Censor.NET, the statement was published on the White House website.

It is noted that Trump and Zelenskyy had a "fantastic phone conversation".

"President Zelenskyy thanked President Trump for the productive start for the work of the Ukrainian and American teams in Jeddah on 11 March. The meeting of the senior officials from both nations significantly helped in moving toward ending the war," the statement said.

Zelenskyy also thanked his American counterpart for the support of the United States, especially for the Javelin missiles that Trump provided first, and for his efforts towards peace.

"The leaders agreed Ukraine and America will continue working together to bring about a real end to the war, and that lasting peace under President Trump’s leadership can be achieved.

The two leaders also agreed on a partial ceasefire against energy... They agreed this could be the first step toward the full end of the war and ensuring security. President Zelenskyy was grateful for the President’s leadership in this effort and reiterated his willingness to adopt a full ceasefire," Rubio and Waltz said.

The statement also said that the Ukrainian president also thanked Trump for continuing to advance humanitarian issues, including the exchange of prisoners of war. He noted that a recent successful exchange had taken place and thanked the US president for his leadership on this issue.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump gave details of a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that took place on 19 March.

During the conversation, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump agreed to continue working together to achieve a real end to the war and establish a lasting peace.
