Kallas called on EU to allocate 5 billion euros to Ukraine for ammunition

Kaja Kallas

The European Union should provide Ukraine with everything it needs for defense, including ammunition worth 5 billion euros.

This was stated by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, Censor.NET reports with reference to Ukrinform.

She said that the European Union should move from words to actions in support of Ukraine.

"For Ukraine, I have proposed an initiative to really move forward with what President Zelenskyy needs, which is 5 billion (euros) worth of ammunition. So we have to at least start and take very concrete steps to help Ukraine now. The stronger they are on the battlefield, the stronger they will be at the negotiating table," Kallas said before the EU summit in Brussels.
