EU plans to supply at least 2 million munitions year to Ukraine - Kallas

The "White Paper" on the future of EU defense contains a separate section on Ukraine and provides for a significant increase in European assistance, including the supply of military equipment and at least 2 million units of ammunition per year.
According to Censor.NET, citing Ukrinform, this was announced today in Brussels during a press conference to present the White Paper by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.
"In the White Paper, we have taken into account the proposals contained in the initiative to support Ukraine. This includes more aid for Ukraine, including more ammunition - at least 2 million units (of shells - ed.) per year - as well as air defense, drones, training and equipment for Ukrainian brigades. This also includes direct support for Ukraine's defense industry and increased access to space services," Kallas said.
Kallas noted that the new SAFE instrument (a €150 billion loan facility - ed.) proposed by the European Commission will help achieve this ambitious goal.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy said that international partners and Ukraine had already signed and paid for a new initiative to supply 155-mm artillery ammunition to the Armed Forces.
