Turkey is ready to participate in foreign peacekeeping forces in Ukraine

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey

Turkey may contribute to the deployment of foreign forces in Ukraine "if the parties agree to create" them to "resolve the Russian-Ukrainian war at a future stage."

This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

The minister noted that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Donald Trump had a "very positive" phone conversation. According to Fidan, President Trump should be persuaded to withdraw US troops from Syria, adding that it would be economically beneficial for Washington.

Fidan also emphasized that visa liberalization with Europe is very important to resolve visa issues, as the current system cannot meet Turkey's growing demand while restrictions remain.
