Moratorium on naval strikes in Black Sea will be implemented within next week or so - Witkoff

Moratorium on strikes in Black Sea

The agreement between Ukraine and Russia on the cessation of hostilities in the Black Sea may enter into force next week.

According to Censor.NET, this was stated by Donald Trump's Special Representative for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson.

"They have never talked about renewing the moratorium on naval strikes in the Black Sea. Ukraine shoots at Russian ships, Russia shoots at Ukrainian ships. Now we are talking about it, and it will be done within the next week or so. There are some details to be discussed, but it has become part of the conversation. This is very important," Witkoff said.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Black Sea corridor would work regardless of whether Russia wants it or not.
