Ukraine has agreed to hold presidential elections - Witkoff

Holding presidential elections in Ukraine is a necessary step, and the country's leadership has agreed to it.
According to Censor.NET, Donald Trump's special representative for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, said this in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson.
"The elections in Ukraine will take place. They have agreed to it. I think Volodymyr Zelenskyy is doing his best," Vitkoff said.
However, he did not provide a timeframe. Vitkoff noted that Zelenskyy is in an extremely difficult situation, as he is confronting a nuclear power with a population four times larger than Ukraine's.
Now is the best time for him to make a deal. President Trump can give him the best possible deal he will ever get," Vitkoff added.
He also emphasized that Russia considers Zelenskyy "illegitimate" and will not sign any agreement with him until Ukraine holds presidential elections.
As a reminder, US President Donald Trump Jr, his son-in-law Jared Kushner, TV host Tucker Carlson, and US Special Representative for the Middle East Steve Witkoff have been holding secret talks with Volodymyr Zelenskyy's political rivals about holding presidential elections in the country.
