Currently, there are no threats from Belarus – SBGSU
Currently, Ukrainian border guards do not observe any threats to our country from Belarus.
This was stated today at a briefing by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andrii Demchenko, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"The Belarusian direction remains threatening, but on the other side of the border, we are not observing any formation or concentration of strike forces that could pose a threat to Ukraine," the spokesman said.
Demchenko also noted that Belarus is constantly conducting military exercises, which may take place in the direction of the border with Ukraine, though not in its immediate vicinity. In effect, Belarus continues to play along with the Kremlin and escalate the situation, the spokesman added.
He emphasized that the intelligence is constantly monitoring the situation and measures to build up the engineering equipment of the border are being taken to ensure that Ukrainian defenders can counteract the threat in case of its occurrence.
Earlier, Censor.NET reported that the inspection of the combat readiness of the armed forces began in Belarus.
