Border guard gives $355,000 bribe in cryptocurrency to law enforcement officer - NABU

An employee of the State Border Guard Service has been caught giving a bribe in cryptocurrency to a law enforcement officer.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the NABU press service.
"The SBGS employee provided the law enforcement officer through his intermediary with USDT cryptocurrency in the equivalent of USD 355 thousand. In return, he wanted to ensure that no measures would be taken to expose his illegal activities.
The illegal benefit was received in full to the intermediary's crypto wallet, cashed out and handed over to the law enforcement officer," the statement said.
Currently, the border guard was served a notice of suspicion under Part 1 Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The law enforcement officer and his intermediary were served a notice of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine in early February.
