Trump appears to be starting to realise that Kremlin has made fool of him - Telegraph

What’s hindering peace talks? Telegraph analysis

US President Donald Trump and dictator Vladimir Putin underestimated each other's intransigence.

This is reported by The Telegraph, Censor.NET reports.

After two rounds of talks, Putin's tactics become obvious: lies, shelling, more lies, and more shelling. The tone of the outcome of the talks in Riyadh was "dry." "The United States and Russia will continue to work toward a lasting and durable peace."

Trump seems to be beginning to realize that the Kremlin has played him for a fool, writes journalist Owen Matthews.

According to him, Putin hardly acts like a leader who is serious about peace. His air attacks seem to be a defiant challenge to the White House. At the negotiating table in Saudi Arabia, each of his alleged concessions actually benefits Russia and harms Ukraine.

"The peace process faces two competing dangers: Trump's impatience with a ceasefire, on the one hand, and Putin's arrogance and illusions, on the other. Trump is often criticized for being too sympathetic to Putin. But in fact, Putin may also fatally underestimate Trump's hot temper, his sensitivity to humiliation, and the enormous economic and military power he wields," the author concluded.
