US President Donald Trump has said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to abandon the minerals deal
According to Censor.NET, Reuters reports.
Trump noted that in this case, the Ukrainian leader would face big problems.
"He's trying (Zelenskyy - Ed.) to back out of the rare earth deal and if he does that he’s got some problems, big, big problems," Trump told reporters.
Trump also reiterated that Ukraine will never be accepted into NATO, despite Zelenskyy's wishes.
"He wants to be a member of NATO, but he's never going to be a member of NATO. He understands that," he noted.
As a reminder, the current version of the fossil fuel agreement is unfavourable for Ukraine, so Kyiv will ask the US to amend it.
