The Security Service and the National Police detained the head of a customs post in Lviv region.

As noted, this official took bribes from importers of electronic equipment to Ukraine. In exchange for a monetary reward, he helped businessmen "bypass" customs clearance procedures and avoid relevant payments to the budget of our state.
It is a black import of expensive digital equipment of well-known brands that entrepreneurs imported from abroad.
The investigation found that in just one of the documented episodes, the official "let through" products without paying customs duties worth more than UAH 15 million. For this "service", he asked for USD 23,000 for himself.
To complete the transaction, the official entered false information into the automated customs clearance system.
Detention of a customs officer
Law enforcers detained the customs officer after he received the entire amount of the illegal benefit. Cash obtained by criminal means was found in the interior of his car.
He has been served a notice of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an unlawful benefit by an official).
The investigation is ongoing to bring all parties involved in the fraud to justice.
The offender faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property.
