62 combat engagements took place in frontline, fighting continues in five directions – General Staff
Since the beginning of the day, 62 combat engagements took place in the frontline. The occupants continue to focus their efforts on the Pokrovsk and Toretsk directions.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the situation at the front as of 16 hours on April 3, Censor.NET reports.
Russian strikes in Ukraine
Popivka and Stepok in the Sumy region suffered from Russian artillery shelling today. Stepok, Myropilske, Pokrovka, Petrushivka, and Velyka Pysarivka in the Sumy region were hit by air strikes.
Hostilities in the Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders once near Kamianka.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy has made two unsuccessful attempts to advance to our fortifications near Zahryzove since the beginning of the day.
Hostilities in the East
The enemy attacked the positions of our troops five times in the Lyman direction, near the settlements of Hrekivka, Nove and towards Novomykhailivka, Zelena Dolyna, two combat engagements are currently ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, the Defense Forces repelled five enemy assaults in the area of Verkhnokamianske and towards Ivano-Darivka and Vyimka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders successfully repelled one enemy attack in the direction of Predtechyne.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our troops 13 times in the areas of Dachne, Druzhba, Dyliivka, Toretsk and Leonidivka. Four combat engagements are still ongoing.
High enemy activity is still maintained in the Pokrovsk direction. Twenty-two clashes of varying intensity started here today. Ukrainian troops repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Novokalynove, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, Andriivka and in the direction of Romanivka and Oleksandropil. So far, 10 of these clashes have been ongoing. Our defenders are giving the occupier a worthy rebuff, and the fighting continues.
The invaders tried to break through four times in the areas of Rozlyv and Kostiantynopil in the Novopavlivka direction, fighting continues.
The situation in the South
The aggressor launched an air strike on Novopil in the Huliaipole direction with unguided air missiles, but did not conduct any active offensive.
Fighting continues in the vicinity of Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky and Kamianske in the Orikhiv direction, with the enemy advancing six times today.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy tried unsuccessfully to advance to the positions of our defenders once.
The situation in the Kursk region
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled four invaders' attacks. In addition, the enemy launched five air strikes using eight guided bombs.
The General Staff emphasized that Ukrainian troops are depleting the enemy along the entire front line and in the rear.
