Russians are looking for new tactics to counter Ukrainian drones – Khortytsia OSGT

Russia is looking for ways to counter Ukrainian drones

Changes in the intensity of hostilities are not related to peace talks.

This was stated by the spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops (OSGT), Viktor Trehubov, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

He denied the decrease in the intensity of hostilities amid peace talks and called it a change in Russian tactics due to objective circumstances.

"All the changes in the dynamics do not seem to be related to the negotiations, but rather to objective factors. For example, the fact that the Russians are using less armored vehicles and more light vehicles is due to the fact that they are running out of armored vehicles. And secondly, they are now looking for tactics to overcome, first of all, Ukrainian drones. They have started to focus more on speed rather than armor. But this is not related to the negotiations, but to military circumstances," explained Trehubov.

The spokesperson emphasized that the number of shelling and air strikes, in particular, on Ukrainian civilian cities and civilian infrastructure, is not decreasing.

"Thus, we cannot talk about any impact of the peace talks on the fighting, both at the front and in the rear," he concluded.
