Books worth UAH 68 million have already been purchased under eBook program

Within the framework of the eBook program, state aid has been provided in the amount of UAH 109 million, of which almost UAH 68 million has already been spent on the purchase of books.
This was announced by the Ukrainian Book Institute, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"As of April 1, 2025, we have the following results of the eBook program: the number of recipients of assistance: 122,438 people; the amount of assistance received by recipients: UAH 109,347,748.10; the amount of funds spent by recipients: UAH 67,789,263.20 (according to the reporting of banks from the Ministry of Digital Transformation); number of distributors: 54 (272 stationary bookstores and 33 online stores)," the statement reads.
Among the 50 most popular books under the eBook program, 82% are works by foreign authors. More than 60% of the books purchased under the program are fiction, and nonfiction books on self-development and psychology prevail.
We remind you that in December 2024, the government approved a mechanism for providing young people with state aid for the purchase of books under the eBook program. You can apply for participation in the eBook program through the Diia web portal and within one year from the date of your 18th birthday. The amount of assistance is UAH 908.4.
