US imposes additional 104% tariffs on China, tariffs go into effect – White House

The United States has imposed additional duties of 104% on Chinese goods, as Beijing has not canceled its measures in response to Washington's tariffs.
This was written by Fox News correspondent Edward Lawrence, citing the words of White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt, Censor.NET reports.
It is noted that the tariffs came into force because China did not cancel its mirror duties to the demands of the United States. That is, from April 9, Beijing will be subject to a 104% duty.
US Tariffs on China
It is worth noting that this is not the first wave of tariffs imposed by the United States on China. Initially, Washington introduced a 20% tariff on Chinese goods, followed by an additional 34%.
In response, China imposed tariffs on American products. Shortly before that, Donald Trump had threatened to introduce additional 50% tariffs and he followed through on that threat.
Earlier, Trump also called China’s decision to introduce a mirror 34% tariff on all US imports, effective April 10, a mistake.
