Armed Forces of Ukraine cancelled order to mobilize Nasirov, initiated internal investigation

An internal investigation is being conducted into the conscription of the former head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov, who is a suspect in the €21 million bribery case, into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The mobilization order itself has already been canceled.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Military Law Enforcement Service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is noted that this was done by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.
"Accordingly, the Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is conducting an internal investigation into the fact that former high-ranking official Roman Nasirov was called up for military service during the trial, as reported in the media," the statement said.
It is noted that Nasirov, who has the rank of reserve soldier, was called up for military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine during mobilisation for a special period. The order to mobilise the former official has already been recognised as unlawful and cancelled.
The conscription of a person liable for military service who voluntarily expressed a desire to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine was carried out under the order of the commander of military unit A0139 of 07.04.2025.
It has been established that the commander recognised the order as unlawful and cancelled it.
The materials of the investigation on the grounds of possible abuse of power will be transferred to law enforcement agencies for proper legal assessment in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine," the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Military Investigation Service said.
At the same time, the Service noted that the military unit A0139, to which Nasirov was to be mobilised, was subordinated to the Main Command Centre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Its units, along with other military units, have been directly involved in hostilities throughout the years of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
As a reminder, on 9 April 2025, the accused former SFS head, Nasirov, did not attend the HACC hearing. The defence noted that Nasirov was drafted into the Armed Forces during mobilisation, so he could not come to court.
