Russians claim to have shot down 58 UAVs, air defence systems operating in Moscow region at night. VIDEO

On the morning of 10 April, the Russian Ministry of Defence announced that 48 allegedly Ukrainian drones had been shot down over six Russian regions, including Moscow, and over annexed Crimea.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by Russian media.

According to the ministry, most of the drones were shot down over Bryansk and Kaluga regions - 13 and 12 respectively. The rest, according to the ministry, were shot down over Kursk, Belgorod, Moscow and Orel regions, as well as over Crimea.

Residents of the Moscow region reported explosions in Naro-Fominsk. Amid the attack, Rosaviatsia temporarily suspended the operation of Moscow's Vnukovo airport, but later lifted the restrictions. Witnesses said the area was attacked by helicopter-like drones.

Russia also introduced the Carpet Plan at Kaluga Airport, closing it to arriving and departing aircraft.
