Ukraine’s "transport visa-free regime" with EU extended until the end of 2025 - Shmyhal

To Ukraine from Europe

The Ukrainian government has extended the "transport visa-free regime" agreement with the European Union until the end of 2025, allowing Ukrainian carriers to continue to carry out road freight transportation without special permits.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal wrote about this in Telegram, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, this will allow Ukrainian road carriers to continue to have unimpeded access to the EU market without the need to obtain special permits.

This is the fourth extension of the agreement, which was signed after the start of Russia's full-scale aggression.

"Ukrainian exports by road to the EU increased by 42%, imports by road to Ukraine - by 37%. "Transport visa-free regime is a part of Ukraine's sectoral integration into Europe and a prerequisite for our membership in the European Union," Shmyhal said.

As noted, the "transport visa-free regime" has become an important component of Ukraine's sectoral integration into Europe, creating the preconditions for Ukraine's membership in the EU.

The agreement on road freight transport, which was simplistically called "transport visa-free regime", was signed on June 29, 2022, as part of the EU's support for Ukraine in times of war. It grants Ukrainian carriers the right to operate commercial flights to Europe without quotas and individual permits, which were previously required.
