Russians executed four Ukrainian POWs in Zaporizhzhia region – AP. VIDEO
The Russian military executed four Ukrainian prisoners of war near the village of Piatikhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region.
This is reported by The Associated Press, Censor.NET informs.
In the video released by the agency, Ukrainian soldiers are seen emerging from a destroyed building with their hands raised — at which point Russian troops open fire on them from behind.
Experts from the Centre for Information Resilience in London, who specialise in visual investigations, confirmed the authenticity of the video. One of the Centre's analysts, Rollo Collins, commented:
"Among all the executions we have seen since the end of 2023, this is one of the most striking cases. This is not a typical combat killing. This is an illegal act."
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi said that such crimes have become systemic in the Russian army:
"Russian occupiers executed four Ukrainian prisoners of war after they had surrendered. Such executions have become systematic, yet each of them is shocking in its brutality. These executions are not only evidence that we are dealing with savages — they also prove that the Russian army is a gathering of degenerates. They lack even the most basic discipline, because disciplined armies do not execute prisoners of war — doing so defies military logic."
According to him, this crime should be investigated by the International Criminal Court, and the perpetrators should be brought to justice.
