Trump may visit Turkey in May 2025

US President Donald Trump is considering a visit to Turkey as part of his trip to the Middle East next month. This will be the first presidential trip of the US leader to the country.

This is reported by the Arabic service of CNN, Censor.NET reports.

A senior official and two sources familiar with the trip plan said that the potential visit would take place after stops in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE.

No final decision has been made, and details are being worked out.

A White House official said that the US leader discussed the visit during a recent conversation with Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

At the same time, Trump does not plan to visit Israel during the trip.

Earlier it was reported that Trump is planning a trip to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar in April or later.

To recap, on March 16, 2025, Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Donald Trump, in which the leaders discussed ending the Russian-Ukrainian war and restoring stability in Syria.

Subsequently, the media reported that Erdogan was working on organizing a meeting with Trump at the White House.
