Russia responded to ceasefire proposal with thousands of strikes on Ukraine - Sybiha

From March 11 to April 11, Russia carried out massive shelling of Ukrainian territory, thus responding to the United States' peace initiative for a temporary ceasefire.
This was written by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha on the social network X, Censor.NET reports.
"Exactly a month ago, on March 11 in Jeddah, Ukraine agreed to such a proposal. It was unconditional. Russia refused to agree, instead putting forward conditions and demands. At the same time, Russia continued to intensify terror against civilians," Sybiha wrote.
According to him, during this month, the Russian Federation has fired at Ukraine:
-
almost 70 missiles of various types
-
more than 2200 Shahed attack drones,
-
more than 6000 guided aerial bombs.
"These were Russia's responses to peaceful proposals. This is typical of Russia: lies, manipulations, continuation of terror. For a month now, we could have kept quiet and taken confidence-building measures to promote a just peace that the United States, European and other partners seek," the diplomat said.
Sybiha emphasized that Moscow has chosen escalation instead of constructiveness and continues to carry out terror against the civilian population.
"We do not need to wait another month to increase pressure on Moscow. Russia needs to feel real power to take peace seriously," he summarized.
