Pistorius: Peace in Ukraine is unattainable in near future
German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said that Ukraine would continue to receive military support from its allies, while Russia was not ready for peace.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to "Interfax-Ukraine".
During a press conference after the meeting, Pistorius stressed the importance of continuing to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression: "Given Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine, we must recognise that peace in Ukraine does not seem to be achievable in the near future," the minister said.
He also stressed that Germany and its allies guarantee Ukraine continued military support:
"We guarantee that Ukraine will continue to benefit from our joint military support," Pistorius added.
The Minister stressed that Russia should realise: "Ukraine is capable of continuing the fight, and we will support it."
