Germany cannot provide Ukraine with another Patriot system at this time – Pistorius

Germany has provided Ukraine with four Patriot air defense systems and is currently unable to increase this number, but Berlin will seek to help find such systems in other countries.
This was stated by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius during a press conference following the 27th meeting in the Ramstein format, Censor.NET reports, citing Ukrinform.
"Germany has already delivered four full Patriot systems... We are not in a position to provide another one — at least not at this time. But we are trying to collect any air defense systems of that range available worldwide. At the same time, we are working to find the money and buy everything we can get," he said.
According to him, the systems previously ordered by Germany will not be delivered before 2027.
Pistorius noted that Germany itself is working to increase the industry's ability to produce more of these weapons.
Germany will also quickly resume an initiative it first launched a year and a half ago "to raise money from around the world and be able to buy more systems."
Commenting on the absence of the US Secretary of Defense at the meeting, Pistorius noted that he addressed the audience with some "interesting and correct assessments.
So in the near future, in the next few weeks, we will see what happens with U.S. participation, with U.S. support, Pistorius added.
At the same time, he reiterated that Europe should focus on what it can do on its own and take more responsibility.
"We are doing everything we can to support Ukraine as long as we need to, and I think this day was quite an impressive proof of what we are able and willing to do," the German Defense Minister added.
