Two teenagers brought back from occupation and Russia

Two more Ukrainian teenagers have been rescued from Russian-occupied territories and the Russian Federation as part of President Zelenskyy’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative.

This was announced by the Head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, according to Censor.NET.

"One of them is a 17-year-old girl who was forcibly taken to Russia before the full-scale invasion. There, she was subjected to systematic abuse due to her Ukrainian origin. She repeatedly tried to return to Ukraine on her own, but all attempts failed. The other rescued teenager is an 18-year-old boy who lived under the constant threat of being forcibly conscripted into the occupier's army and faced persecution by Russian military personnel," the statement reads.

It is noted that the teenagers are now safe in the government-controlled territory of Ukraine, where they are undergoing rehabilitation and preparing to enter a Ukrainian university.
