75 combat engagements took place in frontline, fighting ongoing in seven directions – General Staff
Since the beginning of the day, 75 combat engagements have taken place along the frontline, the enemy is focusing its efforts on the Pokrovsk sector, where 26 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions have been recorded.
This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the situation at the front as of 4 pm on April 11, Censor.NET reports.
Russian Strikes on Ukrainian Territory
Today, enemy artillery and mortar fire affected the communities of the following settlements: Khrynivka of the Chernihiv region; Prokhody, Stepok, Turia, Riasne, Slavhorod, Petrushivka, Kucheriivka, Mariine, Velyka Pysarivka, Pokrovka, Ulanove, Popivka, Oleksandriia, and Riasne of Sumy region. In addition, Russian aircraft launched strikes using guided aerial bombs on the settlements of: Mykolaivka of Chernihiv region; Petrushivka, Prokhody, Myropilske, Osoiivka, Taratutine, Krasnopillia, and Velykyi Prykil of Sumy region.
The situation in the Kharkiv region
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian occupants attacked the positions of the Defense Forces seven times in the areas of Holubivka, Nova Kruhliakivka and Zahryzove, with three combat engagements currently ongoing.
Fighting in the East
In the Lyman direction, the invading army launched 12 attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Nadiia, Hrekivka, Nove and Katerynivka. Four combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, our defenders repelled an enemy attack in the area of Ivano-Darivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two assault actions of Russian invaders. The enemy is trying to break through in the areas of Kurdiumivka and Orikhovo-Vasylivka.
In the Toretsk direction, our defenders repelled five invaders' attacks near Dachne, Druzhba and Toretsk, and another combat engagement is ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian occupation forces launched 26 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Kalynove, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Pishchane, Udachne, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Nadiivka, and Andriivka. The Defense Forces are holding the line and have repelled 24 enemy attacks; two combat engagements are still ongoing. The settlement of Bahatyr came under an airstrike.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attempted to breach the defense lines of Ukrainian troops three times near Rozlyv and Rozdolne.
Hostilities in the South
In the Huliaipole direction, there were three firefights with the enemy in the areas of Pryvilne, Novosilka and Burlatske.
Huliaipole was attacked by attack aircraft, and the enemy used GABs (guided aerial bombs) to attack Novopil and Shevchenko.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian troops repelled two enemy attacks in the area of Mali Shcherbaky.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy tried three times to approach the positions of our defenders, but failed.
The situation in the Kursk region
Ten combat engagements have taken place in the Kursk direction since the beginning of the day, three of which are still ongoing. In addition, the enemy launched 25 air strikes, dropping 41 GABs, and fired 259 artillery shells, including 16 from multiple launch rocket systems.
According to the General Staff, there were no major changes in other areas.
